Language Testing

Aptitude Testing

It is widely accepted that the most effective way of evaluating someone's propensity to study a language, especially studying one intensively, is by means of language aptitude testing.

We have two aptitude tests that we offer clients:

• Modern Language Aptitude Test (MLAT)
• Language Aptitude Test Pack (LATP)

The MLAT is a secure test and only available to government agencies and departments while the LATP is a more general test and open to all sections of the community.

Proficiency Exams

We offer language proficiency testing to personnel employed, or seeking employment in Australian Government.

These exams are closely based on the Australian Foreign Service Language Proficiency Rating Scale (AFSLPRS) and test language ability that is required by individuals in order to perform their job duties.

The exams take into consideration the broad range of roles, responsibilities and practical requirements for positions for which individuals will be employed, and positions whose success depends on proficiency in a language. More>
