Overview

The weekend format is designed for motivated people who are aiming to train and assess in their area of expertise. The course is delivered in a practical, fun learning environment and will give you the confidence you need to deliver effective training sessions to groups of people. The weekend format will also ensure a good work/study/life balance. In achieving this balance you will need to be highly self-directed and passionate about your ongoing professional development.

This practical course is designed for individuals who deliver training and conduct assessments either for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or in their current workplace.

Delivery Approach

Our collaborative and stimulating delivery approach provides you with a number of opportunities to develop your practical skills in a supportive learning environment.  It also enables you to complete some assessment tasks during the program which contribute to our excellent completion rates. Our highly experienced facilitators/assessors will provide you with ongoing support and feedback which will assist you to build and enhance your skills and knowledge.

The course is predominantly delivered face to face with an on line component available to complete appropriate units of competency.

To meet the eligibility requirements for this course, you will need to:

  • have expertise in your industry/field
  • be self-directed and enthusiastic to achieve the learning outcomes
  • manage your time efficiently to prepare and complete assessment activities outside the allocated hours.
  • participate and engage with all aspects of the course
  • have high level oral and written communication skills
  • have access to a real and/or simulated work environment to demonstrate your training and assessment competency
  • have access to the Internet

Minimum 8 participants
Maximum 12 participants

Units of Study

There are ten (10) units of competency that make up the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from the latest TAE10 Training and Education Training Package:

Core Units

  • Plan assessment activities and processes (TAEASS401A)
  • Assess competence (TAEASS402A)
  • Participate in assessment validation (TAEASS403A)
  • Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning (TAEDEL401A)
  • Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace (TAEDEL402A)
  • Design and develop learning programs (TAEDES401A)
  • Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs (TAEDES402A)

Elective Units

  • Provide work skill instruction (TAEDEL301A)
  • Provide workplace coaching (PSPGOV415A)
  • Design and develop assessment tools (TAEASS502A)

Organisations may choose from a range of elective units to suit their needs.
