Trainer Skills Workshop

Overview

Do people look to you for information and instruction?

If so, join us in this practical, dynamic and motivating workshop where you will gain the skills to plan and conduct engaging and effective training sessions.

You may provide information and instruction on workplace induction, how to operate new equipment and follow processes, developing new skills at work, improving efficiency and effectiveness and meeting safety procedures.

During this workshop you will learn how to:

  • incorporate strategies to assist others to learn
  • structure training sessions using fool proof methods
  • use a range of resources to enhance your training
  • review your training performance and provide feedback to others.

Approach

 This workshop is delivered in a very practical way and you will have many opportunities to plan and deliver training sessions and use a range of training resources.

You will be required to prepare and conduct training sessions over the 2.5 day workshop. These sessions will contribute to your assessment against the unit of competency.

Additional course work will be required additional to the face to face component.

Outcomes

This workshop is aligned to the following unit of competency from the recently endorsed Training and Education Training Package (TAE10):

  • Provide work skill instruction (TAEDEL301A)

Reward

On successful completion of this workshop you will receive a Statement of Attainment in Instructional Skills issued by the Canberra Institute of Technology.
